INCREASING THE VALUE OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND RENEWABLE ENERGY THROUGH THE
CLEAN AIR INTERSTATE RULE (CAIR) & STATE IMPLEMENTATION PLANS (SIPs)

Who Should Participate:
- State air quality
officials from the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Midwest States
involved in developing State CAIR regulations and State Implementation
Plans to implement the 8-hour ozone standard and the particulate matter
standard;
- State energy officials
from the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Midwest States
interested in increasing the value and market share of renewable energy
and energy efficiency; and
- Representatives of
Federal energy and environmental agencies, clean energy funds, local
governments, metropolitan planning organizations, and other
organizations interested in the above issues
Details:
This webcast will address
the “window of opportunity” available to state air and energy agencies in
the next six months to spur energy efficiency and renewable energy through
the implementation of clean air policies in two areas:
- Development of State
regulations to implement the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s
Clean Air Interstate Rule;
- Development of State
Implementation Plans to bring your State into attainment with the 8-hour
ozone standard.
The webcast will focus on
concrete policy options and “how to” advice on designing CAIR rules and SIPs
to facilitate energy efficiency and renewable energy project implementation.
